Today I found out the news that Paul Panks passed away on the 5th July 2009, a member of quite a few Commodore websites (Including Lemon64,Plus4World & Commodore16.com).  He died at a very young age of 33, very sad.

Here's a link to his Obituary

For anyone that has been a member of the scene, you will have interacted with him or read his forum posts at some point.  You may remember him for his Adventure games on the C64, Vic 20 & C16/Plus, for his quirkiness on the forums and within scene.  He was indeed a very passionate man when it came to his adventure games and will be respected.

His website is still currently operational and is found here

Out of respect for his work, below is a zip montage of his C16/Plus 4 compatable adventures for you all to enjoy.

The zip file

His games include
  1. Castle Belmar
  2. Dyania
  3. Esotera
  4. Merlins Quest
  5. Orathan
  6. Pauls 4k Adventure
  7. Sea Hunter
  8. Vampyre Cross
  9. Westfront 64
  10. Westfront to Apse II
  11. Wizard Castle

I'm sorry for being so shitty to you Paul.Though I haven't seen you in 18 years I feel I have some blame if you took your own life. We tortured you . Mr. Strongs class, San Pablo man if i hadn't known you from before you may have had a chance. His parents may be able to place me i may have been the only guy to come over to hang out with him in 8th grade. I was looking you up to say sorry now that we were grown. Sociology. You wanted to know why we were how we were to you . You still thought it was us. We could have been friends now. Sorry I was late buddy. RIP Paul Panks

This is indeed sad news and a real loss for the Commodore community. I remember him from Lemon and wasn't aware he done C16 games. Condolences to the family for losing somebody close to them at such a shocking young age.

RIP Dunric :(
