December 2008 News Letter
- The site
- Our site has gone through a period of change. Initially I was going to change the site from a database of software to just the site projects. But after talking to quite a few members of the site, it was decided to keep the feel of the site, but expanding on projects. The database is slowly going to change though, and the entries are going to be based around original releases with a lot of detail.
- You will have noticed that we now have a log in page on the index of the site? Well now any of our members can become authors on the site, so they can publish interesting articles/scan or any other piece of information that others might want to read about the C16/Plus 4 range. If you want to become an author, please drop me a line and I’ll upgrade your account.
- The scene
- November was certainly a good month for the Commodore 16/Plus 4. As you can see we still have a thriving community, ok not as fast and furious as the C64 scene, but still great.
- Mike Daily updated his Minus4J emulator, to include sound, speed increases, turbo mode and general fixes. This is one hell of an update. Try playing some the online games, like Driller with the turbo mode and you’ll see the difference from the last version. Check out http://minus4.plus4.net for further details.
- Erich Laber has updated http://www.plus4.com with all of his Botticelli Bilderdisk’s. A fabulous collection of artwork, in Botticelli format. A lot of these images are breathtaking and definitely good to show off the C16/Plus 4 graphic capabilities. - A new demo group called the Monarchy has released a great new demo called OVH Is Our King. Go over to http://plus4world.powweb.com/software/OVH_Is_Our_King to check it out.
