I stumbled across this page because I was trying to remember the Exorcist tune :) I remember Treasure Island well. Many an hour wasted on that game. My little sister was the only person I knew to get all the way to the end but panicked when Long John Silver chased her and lost it. I missed it lol. Another game I wasted hours and hours on was Williamsburg. You was in a town and had to pick directions, solve puzzles and interact with the residents, but it was all just text. You had to type in your request like lift lid, read book etc. My dad drew us a map of the town so we could find our way round easily.
