Hi Yurek, i want to use it as a stand alone burner for old musical intruments that usue 5.25 drives. I have thousends of soundbanks on my pc, would be great if i can burn it directly on a 1541. Do you need a special program that recognize a 1541 drive and can burn on it, or does windows automaticly detect it as a floppy drive? thanks for answering, regards, Alessandro

Yes OpenCBM is the program you need. Then it depends if you want to transfer the data via usb or parallel? USB will be the XU adaper and Parallel will need the X/XE/XM1541 cable.
